Compliance with the Privacy Act 1993
rec2REC™ New Zealand Limited is bound by the conditions of New Zealand Privacy Act 1993 and the 12 Information Privacy Principals (refer http://www.privacy.org.nz/people/fact3-0.html). This policy refers to personal information collected from individuals that interact with this organisation.

Our guiding principals
Personal information that we collect and hold usually falls into the following categories: personal details; qualifications; employment history; employment references; evaluation information; summary of contact information. This information is subject to the following guiding principals:
1. Purpose of information:
We hold information for the primarily purpose of recruiment and related services and other value added services including: events; newletters; and other communications from time to time.
2. Source of information:
We collect the information directly from the individual concerned unless you authorise in writing the collection of the information from someone else or where such information is publicly available.
3. Collection of information:
Where we collect personal information directly from you we will take all reasonable steps to ensure you are aware of our Privacy Policy and your rights.
4. Manner of collection:
We do not collect information by unlawfull, unfair or likley to be considered intrusive
5. Storage and security:
We enure your information is protected, by such security safeguards as it is reasonable in the circumstances to take, against loss, access or other misuse. If it is necessary for the information to be given to a person in connection with the provision of our services, everything reasonably within our power will be done to prevent unauthorised use or unauthorised disclosure of the information.

Access
We hold personal information in such a way that it can be readily be
retrieved and you are entitled to access to this information in accordance with
the provisions of Parts IV and V of the Act.

Correction of personal information:
You are entitled to request correction
of information; and request that there be attached to the information a
statement of the correction sought but not made in accordance to Principal 7 of
the Act..

Accuracy:
We shall not use any personal information without taking such steps (if
any) as are, in the circumstances, reasonable to ensure that, having regard to
the purpose for which the information is proposed to be used, the information is
accurate, up to date, complete, relevant, and not misleading.
9.
Tenure:
We shall not hold personal information for longer than is required for
the purposes for which the information may lawfully be used.
10.
Limits on use:
Where personal information was obtained in connection with one purpose
we shall not use that information for any other purpose unless we believe, on
reasonable grounds that it meets the reasons outlined in the Principal 10 of the
Act.
11.
Limits on disclosure:
We shall not disclose the information to any person or body or agency
unless we believe, on reasonable grounds that it meets the reasons outlined in
the Principal 11 of the Act.
12.
Unique identifiers:
We assign a unique identifier to an individual to enable us to carry out
any one or more of our functions efficiently. To identify you corerctly
that identifier includes a combination of your full name and date of borth in
the format e.g. 'Mike Harrod Smith (MHS01031965)'.
